<![CDATA[ABSTRAK Ligia sp di Indonesia masih kurang mendapat perhatian dari para peneliti. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan masih minimnya literatur saintifik penelitian khusus, sehingga perlu dilakukan penelitian untuk membahas hal ini secara mendalam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepadatan populasi Kecoa Laut (Ligia sp) di Zona Litoral Pantai Ritieng Kecamatan Leupung Kabupaten Aceh Besar. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah survei dengan teknik purposive sampling. Parameter dalam penelitian ini adalah jumlah individu (kepadatan populasi), dilakukan selama 2 minggu pada bulan Juni 2017. Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis menggunakan rumus kepadatan populasi oleh Brower dan Zar dan penjabaran secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepadatan populasi Kecoa Laut (Ligia sp) di zona litoral Pantai Ritieng Kecamatan Leupung Kabupaten Aceh Besar adalah 9 ind/m2.Kata Kunci: Kepadatan Populasi, Zona Litoral, Kecoa Laut. This research aims to determine population density of Ligia sp sp sp In Littoral Zone of Pantai Ritieng, Leupung, Aceh Besar District. The method used in this research is a survey with purposive sampling technique. The parameters in this study were the number of individuals (population density) and habitat characteristics (substrate, topography, temperature, salinity and pH), conducted for 2 weeks in June 2017. The observed data were analyzed using Brower and Zar’s population density formula and describe decriptively.
