<![CDATA[Hypertension in the elderly is a global problem that causes a decrease in quality of life and sudden death. Instrumental music therapy and dangdut music therapy are non-pharmacological therapeutic solutions to reduce blood pressure and depression scores among the elderly. This type of research is a quasi-experimental approach (one group pretest and posttest design). The sample used was all the elderly at Wisma Mawar, Wisma Melati, Wisma Sakura, and Wisma Teratai UPT PSTW Jember totaling 60 elderly. Elderly in Wisma Mawar, Wisma Melati, Wisma Sakura, and Wisma Teratai UPT PSTW Jember 37 elderly are female, and 23 elderly are male, 50% aged 61-70 years. There were 46 elderly people with hypertension with systolic blood pressure of 130-180 mmHg (76.7%). The results of statistical tests, namely that there were significant differences in systolic blood pressure and depression scores in the elderly, showed that instrumental and dangdut music therapy was quite effective in reducing blood pressure and depression scores in the elderly. Hypertension and depression in the elderly can be reduced using nonpharmacological therapies such as instrumental music therapy and dangdut music therapy because they can relax the body and mind and improve blood vessels. conclusion. Instrumental music therapy and dangdut music therapy are effective in reducing blood pressure and depression scores in the elderly so that they can improve the quality of life of the elderly. Instrumental music therapy and dangdut music therapy need to be included in the PSTW training program, which can be done regularly, so that it can control blood pressure and depression scores in the elderly.]]>
