The North Sumatra History of Al-Qur'an Museum was first founded by a North Sumatran historian, Dr. Phil Ichwan Azhari. This museum is located on Jl. Williem Iskandar Pasar V Kenangan Baru, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province, and it is the only History of Al-Qur'an Museum that houses 70 ancient manuscripts in the North Sumatra region. The museum was inaugurated by the Governor of North Sumatra, Mr. Edy Rahmayadi, on September 22, 2019. The research methohoused in this journal involves direct field observation by documenting the objects firsthand at the location. The research findings indicate that the North Sumatra Al-Qur'an Museum plays a highly crucial role as an educational resource for the younger generation, especially in providing a direct and contextual learning experience. Through its collections, such as ancient Al-Qur'an mushafs (manuscripts), Islamic historical artifacts, and other relics, this museum is able to present learning that is not merely theoretical, but also visual and tangible. The younger generation can see the historical evidence firsthand, ensuring the understanding they gain is profound and memorable. The challenge faced in managing the Al-Qur'an museum is the continued use of simple tools to preserve the mushafs inside the museum, which requires the caretakers to check the items periodically. Furthermore, the museum uses acid paper to protect the mushafs that are nearly damaged, as the acid paper wrapping the mushafs deters pests such as termites, insects, and others.
