Abstract

 This study is istended to improve the speaking participation of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 1 Mrebet in Indonesian language learning through the impelemtation of a Role Playing method supported by educational videos. The research employs a classroom action research (CAR) approach, focusing on fifth-grade students s at SD  Negeri Mrebet, during the 2023-2024 academic year. The participants consist of 18 students and their  classroom teacher in the second semester. Data collected  using observation sheets, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The research design follows the Kemmis and Taggart model, which is conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action,observation, and refletion stages. The results demonstrate that the application of the role-playing method, assistef by educational videos in Indonesian language learning, effectively increases students speaking participation. This is evidenced by the improvement in student engagement from the first cycle to the second cycle, successfully reaching the targeted 60% level of participation. Abstrak  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi berbicara siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Mrebet dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia melalui penerapan metode bermain peran yang didukung oleh video pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Classroom Action Research (CAR), dengan fokus pada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Mrebet, Kecamatan Mrebet, pada tahun ajaran 2023/2024. Peserta penelitian terdiri dari 18 siswa dan guru kelas mereka pada semester kedua. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan lembar observasi, wawancara, kuesioner, dan dokumentasi. Desain penelitian mengikuti model Kemmis dan McTaggart, yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, masing-masing terdiri dari tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode bermain peran, yang didukung oleh video pendidikan dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia, secara efektif meningkatkan partisipasi berbicara siswa. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan peningkatan keterlibatan siswa dari siklus pertama ke siklus kedua, yang berhasil mencapai tingkat partisipasi 60% yang ditargetkan.
