The results of the interview showed that the learning carried out by the teacher regarding affixes (affixes) had been carried out well starting from planning and implementation. The results of interviews with students revealed that there were difficulties in implementing affix material (affixes) in writing narrative essays. The conclusion of this study is to explain errors in the use of affixes in students' narrative essays. The difficulty of class IV students in using affixes in narrative essays is because students do not fully understand the concept of affixes, they are confused when writing affixes in constructing sentences to form narrative essays, students are too focused on expressing story ideas so they don't pay attention to the use of affixes. This results in errors in the use of affixes in narrative essays.
