MANAJEMEN PELATIHAN VOKASIONAL BAGI PENYANDANG DISABILITAS DAKSA

Abstract

Abstrak: This research study was aimed at describing the implementation of the managementof the educational and vocational training in order to improve the human resource quality ofphysically handicapped, discovering the supporting factors, and revealing any solution tothe emerging obstacles. This research used the qualitative approach and description methodto yield the information about the management of vocational trainings of the physicallyhandicapped. The data were selected using the purposive tecknique covering by the DivisionHeads, Section Heads, instructors, and the training participants. The data were collectedthrough indepth interviews, observation, and document, conducted by the triangulationmechanism of the answers to the research subjects. The result of the research shows thattraining’s result not yet able to push the physically handicapped peoples up to have morecapability. They are not yet own enough job skill which can be used to look for a job as aproperty to face the life going, although socially they have been able to do the relationshipwith the society in a proper ways.keyword: Management, vocational training, physically handicappedAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan manajemen pelatihanvokasional dalam upaya meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia penyandang disabilitasdaksa serta untuk menemukan faktor kekuatan menemukan solusi terhadap tantangan yangmuncul. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode deskripsi untukmenghasilkan informasi tentang manajemen pelatihan vokasional penyandang disabilitasdaksa. Pemilihan informasi data dilakukan dengan teknik porpusive meliputi para kepalabidang, para kepala seksi, instruktur/pembimbing, dan peserta pelatihan. Dalam pengumpulandata, digunakan teknik wawancara, observasi, dan telaah dokumen. Ketiganya dilakukandengan mekanisme trianggulasi atas jawaban-jawaban subyek penelitian. Hasil penelitianmenunjukan bahwa hasil pelatihan belum mampu mendorong penyandang disabilitas daksake arah yang lebih berdaya. Mereka belum cukup memiliki keterampilan kerja yang dapatdigunakan untuk mencari pekerjaan sebagai modal menghadapi kehidupannya, meskipunsecara sosial sudah mampu melakukan relasi dengan masyarakat secara wajar.Kata kunci: manajemen pelatihan, penyandang disabilitas daksa
