Terapi batuk efektif ini dapat digunakan perawat difasilitas kesehatan atau masyarakatKata kunci : batuk efektif, ketidakefektifan bersihan jalan nafas, ISPA (Infeksi SaluranPernafasan Akut)ABSTRACTAcute Respiratory Infections (ARI) is the entry of microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, riketsi)into the respiratory tract that causes symptoms of the disease that can last up to 14 days.Symptoms that usually appear are coughing, sneezing, fever, sore throat to shortness ofbreath. Based on WHO data in 2011, the highest death rate due to ARI in 2000 was in theContinent of Africa and Southeast Asia, namely 70% of the total deaths due to acuterespiratory infections. Efforts to treat ARI can be done by means of pharmacology and nonpharmacology, one of which is by effective cough exercises, deep breathing exercises andsemi-fowler positions. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the results of the provision of effectivecough training on airway clearance in patients with Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI).Literature study method using narrative research literature studies cough exercises areeffective against airway clearance in patients with Acute Respiratory Infections (ARI).effective cough exercises are able to overcome the problem of ineffective airway cleansingbut for more effective results in dealing with airway cleansing when additional interventionssuch as semi-fowler positioning, manual steam inhalation, chest physiotherapy and drinkingwarm water are given. Keywords : Effective cought, ineffectiveness of airway clearance, Acute RespiratoryInfections (ARI)
