<![CDATA[Penerapan sistem pengendalian internal menjadi aspek penting dalam meningkatkan efektivitas, transparansi, dan akuntabilitas program edukasi lingkungan pada organisasi nirlaba. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Sistem Pengendalian Internal (SPI) berbasis kerangka COSO pada Program Edukasi Lingkungan di NGO The World Is Just a Book Away (WIJABA). Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap empat informan kunci yang terlibat langsung dalam program. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa WIJABA telah mengimplementasikan lima komponen COSO, namun belum optimal terutama pada aspek formalisasi SOP, manajemen risiko yang terstruktur, dan pemanfaatan teknologi informasi. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa pendekatan fleksibel dan adaptif menjadi kekhasan organisasi nirlaba, meskipun berimplikasi pada rendahnya tingkat formalitas pengendalian. The implementation of an internal control system is an important aspect in increasing the effectiveness, transparency, and accountability of environmental education programs in non-profit organizations. This study aims to analyze the implementation of an Internal Control System (ISC) based on the COSO framework in the Environmental Education Program at the NGO The World Is Just a Book Away (WIJABA). The study used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of four key informants directly involved in the program. The results show that WIJABA has implemented the five COSO components, but not optimally, especially in the aspects of formalization of SOPs, structured risk management, and the use of information technology. These findings indicate that a flexible and adaptive approach is a characteristic of non-profit organizations, although it implies a low level of control formality. ]]>
