Abstract

This article examines the effectiveness of e-book applications among students at UIN SMH Banten in meeting their academic information needs. Previously, students could access literature and research data only through the library, requiring physical presence and sometimes being time consuming. The presence of e-book applications from the UIN SMH Banten Library allows students to obtain the information they need more quickly and flexibly without having to come to the library. Thus, this application has the potential to increase efficiency in the learning process and the preparation of academic assignments. This study used a quantitative approach, distributing questionnaires to students from semesters 1 to 8 to assess the extent to which the application was used effectively. The results showed a significant positive relationship between the effectiveness of e-book applications and students' information needs, indicating that these applications can optimally support the academic process.
