<![CDATA[Materi jenis dan karakteristik baja merupakan materi yang berhubungan dengan bahan bangunan. Materi tersebut membutuhkan pemahaman yang baik dan proses pembelajaran yang menarik sehingga siswa dapat belajar lebih maksimal. Dibutuhkan suatu media yang dan mampu menyajikan video animasi untuk membantu memperjelas materi dan meningkatkan respon siswa. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengetahui kelayakan e-book sebagai media pembelajaran, (2) mengetahui respon siswa terhadap e-book sebagai media pembelajaran, (3) mengetahui ketuntasan belajar klasikal dengan diterapkannya e-book sebagai media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mengacu pada model pengembangan 4D (define, design, develop, dan disseminate) namun dibatasi hanya sampai tahap develop. Subyek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X TGB 2 SMK Negeri 1 Mojokerto. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar validasi e-book, lembar respon siswa, dan tes hasil belajar. Setelah menghasilkan e-book yang telah divalidasi oleh ahli media dan ahli materi kemudian diujicobakan pada siswa. Uji coba dilakukan untuk mengetahui hasil respon siswa dan ketuntasan belajar klasikal dengan diterapkannya e-book sebagai media pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) kelayakan e-book berdasarkan ahli media dan ahli materi sebesar 79,78 yang termasuk dalam kategori layak sehingga dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. (2) Hasil respon siswa terhadap e-book sebesar 90,20% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. (3) Ketuntasan belajar klasikal yang dicapai sebesar 94,10% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat baik. The material need a good understanding and interesting learning process until maked the students has maximum studied. Needed a media and can showing video animation to help explaining the material and increase the students response. The purpose of the study is: (1) to knowing the feasibility of e-book as learning media. (2) to knowing the students response of e-book as learning media. (3) to knowing the learning result of students after using e-book as learning media. This research refers to the 4D model of development (define, design, develop, dan disseminate) but the study was limited only to develop stage. The subjects of this research are students of class X TGB 2 SMK Negeri 1 Mojokerto. The instrument used was a validation sheet of e-book, a students response sheet of e-book, and achievement test. After produce e-book that has been validatied by the expert of media and the expert of material then tested on students. Test conducted to determine students response and learning result of students after using e-book as learning media. The result showed that: (1) review of the feasibility of e-book based on the expert of media and the expert of material at 79,78 which is included in the decent category so it can be used. (2) the students response of e-book at 90,20% which is included in the very good category. (3) the complete classical learning results achieved at 94,10% which is included in the very good category.
