<![CDATA[This research aims to: (1) explain the form of the betorang customary series in the Kayuagung tribe of OKI district, (2) explain the meaning of the betorang custom for the people of the Kayuagung tribe of OKI district and (3) explain the behavior of the community in preserving the betorang custom in the Kayuagung tribe of OKI district. This research uses a qualitative approach. The type of research that will be conducted by researchers is ethnographic study research. The research location is in Kayuagung Kab OKI. This research uses the type and source of data, namely by using primary data. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing and using source triangulation. The research subjects were obtained and several informants, namely traditional leaders, village heads, community leaders and the people of the Kayuagung tribe. Data collection procedures are observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the existence of cultural literacy in the betorang custom can find out from the stage with entographic studies in the Kayuagung tribe. The people of the Kayuagung tribe have good abilities in terms of cultural literacy.]]>
