This article was made with the aim of describing the implementation of the school literacy movement (GLS) program at MIN 1 Semarang. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research approach. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The research instrument uses observation guidelines, interview guidelines, and documentation sheets. The results of the study show that MIN 1 Semarang has started to implement literacy habituation since 2015, then it is aligned with the framework policy of the School Literacy Movement Program (GLS). The implementation of this literacy program is supported by the readiness of madrasas in planning the implementation of GLS. The literacy program is also supported by the teacher committee, all madrasah residents, and the provision of literacy support facilities. The implementation of literacy program activities is carried out through three stages starting from the habituation stage, development, to the learning stage.
