ABSTRACT This study aimed to analyze the effect of open passing training based on a slalom course on the short pass skills of Club Briliant FC Bayan players aged 8–14 years. The study was motivated by the players’ low passing ability, which was indicated by inaccurate passes, poor ball control, and limited variation in technical training during the coaching process. The research employed a quantitative approach using a one group pretest-posttest design. The sample consisted of 20 players selected through purposive sampling. The research instrument used a passing and stopping ball test conducted for 30 seconds to measure the players’ short pass skills before and after the treatment. The training program was conducted for six weeks with a frequency of three sessions per week through open passing activities combined with a slalom course pattern implemented gradually and progressively. The data were analyzed using a t-test at a 5% significance level. The results showed an improvement in short pass skills after the players participated in the training program, as indicated by higher posttest scores compared to the pretest scores. Statistical analysis also revealed that open passing (slalom course) training had a significant effect on the players’ short pass skills. This training model can be used as a variation of soccer technical training to improve movement coordination, passing accuracy, and player engagement in youth training sessions. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh latihan open passing berbasis slalom course terhadap keterampilan short pass pemain Club Briliant FC Bayan usia 8–14 tahun. Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh masih rendahnya kemampuan passing pemain yang terlihat dari ketidaktepatan arah umpan, kontrol bola yang kurang baik, serta rendahnya variasi latihan teknik selama proses pembinaan. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-posttest. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 20 pemain yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian menggunakan tes passing dan stopping bola selama 30 detik untuk mengukur keterampilan short pass pemain sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Program latihan diberikan selama enam minggu dengan frekuensi tiga kali latihan setiap minggu melalui aktivitas open passing yang dipadukan dengan pola slalom course secara bertahap dan progresif. Data penelitian dianalisis menggunakan uji t pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan short pass setelah pemain mengikuti program latihan yang ditandai dengan peningkatan skor posttest dibandingkan pretest. Hasil analisis statistik juga menunjukkan bahwa latihan open passing (slalom course) memberikan pengaruh signifikan terhadap keterampilan short pass pemain. Latihan ini dapat digunakan sebagai variasi latihan teknik sepak bola untuk membantu meningkatkan koordinasi gerak, ketepatan umpan, dan keterlibatan pemain usia dini dalam proses latihan.
