This article discusses the concept of learning Islamic Religious Education in various educational institutions, including public schools, madrasah, pesantren, and universities. Education (Tarbiyah) has an important role in shaping a generation that is ready to face the challenges of a dynamic society. This study aims to provide an overview of the different approaches and learning objectives of Islamic Education in each institution. The method used is library research, with analysis of various texts and related literature. The results showed that PAI learning in public schools is more integrated in the general curriculum, while madrasahs focus on in-depth understanding of Islamic teachings. Islamic boarding schools emphasise practical learning in daily life, while universities study contemporary issues in the context of Islam. PAI learning in higher education also leads to the development of critical thinking towards social and global challenges. This article concludes that it is important to adapt learning methods according to the characteristics of learners and the needs of society so that Islamic religious education remains relevant, meaningful, and able to shape the character of a generation that is noble and ready to contribute to society.
