Abstract

AbstrakTahun 2017, pemilihan Kepala Daerah (Pilkada) diadakan serentak di Indonesia yaitu pemilihan pemimpin daerah di tujuh provinsi, 18 kota dan 76 kabupaten. Namun, pemilihan Gubernur (Pilgub) DKI Jakarta menjadi satu-satunya Pilkada yang paling menyita perhatian publik. Isu SARA (Suku, Agama, dan Ras) menjadi sentral opini publik yang terbangun di tengah ketatnya persaingan tiga pasangan calon Gubernur dan calon Wakil Gubernur. Media massa turut mempengaruhi opini publik, termasuk media dalam jaringan (daring). Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisa obyektivitas berita pada media daring, khususnya Detiknews. Penelitian ini merupakan analisis isi kuantitatif dengan data primer berupa kompilasi berita dengan kata kunci “Pilkada DKI Jakarta” pada Detiksearch selama 26 Oktober 2016 hingga 11 Februari 2017. Kerangka obyektivitas Westerståhl (1983) dengan menggunakan dua variabel: faktualitas dan impartialitas. Analisis data statistik dilakukan secara deskriptif. Secara faktualitas, penyajian fakta baik sosiologi maupun psikologis cukup berimbang. Kelengkapan berita (unsur 5W+1H) pun tinggi. Sementara secara impartialitas, keberimbangan Detiknews dalam menampilkan dua sisi (cover both sides) cukup rendah. Meski demikian, Detiknews masih menjaga tingkat netralitas dalam pemberitaannya.Kata Kunci: Objektivitas, Media Daring, Detiknews, Analisis Isi Kuantitatif  AbstractIn 2017, The regional election takes place simultaneously in Indonesia in which the gubernatorial elections in 17 provinces, the mayoral elections in 18 cities and the regent elections in 76 districts. Nevertheless, the Jakarta Governor election was highly under public spotlight. The race and religious were the central issues of public opinion amid intense competition among three candidates of Governor and Vice Governor. Media forms the public opinion that includes the online media. This research aims to analyse the news objectivity in online media, particularly on Detiknews. This research is quantitative content analysis whereby the primary data derived from Detik search engine during 26th October 2016 to 11th February 2017. This research uses Westerståhl (1983) objectivity framework in which consists of two variables: factuality and impartiality. The analysis data uses statistic-descriptive approach. In factuality, the presentation of both sociology and psychology facts are relatively balance. The completeness of the news (5W+1H) is highly achieved. Meanwhile in impartiality, the balance of cover both sides is relatively low. However, Detiknews keeps the neutrality of the news in some sort of level.
