This study is motivated by the low levels of students’ learning motivation and learning outcomes in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) instruction. The use of technology-based learning media, such as PowerPoint presentations and instructional videos, has not been optimized, resulting in students being less focused and less actively engaged in the learning process. This study aims to examine the differences in learning motivation and learning outcomes between students taught using Kahoot! and those taught through conventional methods among tenth-grade Fashion students at SMK N 3 Payakumbuh. This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Pretest–Posttest Non-Equivalent Control Group Design. The sample was selected using a cluster random sampling technique. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire to measure learning motivation and achievement tests to assess learning outcomes. The results indicate that the mean pretest and posttest scores of the experimental group are higher (93,44) than those of the control group (81,67). Students’ learning motivation in the experimental class falls into the very high category. Furthermore, the t-test results show a significance value of 0.000 0.05. In conclusion, there is a significant difference in both learning motivation and learning outcomes between the experimental and control groups, indicating that the use of Kahoot! is more effective in enhancing OHS learning.
