<![CDATA[Cervical cancer is one of the most common cancers among women and a leading cause of death worldwide, including in Indonesia. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination has been recommended, yet vaccination coverage remains very low. This study employs the Health Belief Model, which consists of perceived vulnerability, perceived severity, perceived benefits, perceived barriers, and cues to action. This study aims to determine the perceptions of female students at the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi regarding HPV vaccination, to determine HPV vaccination coverage among female students at the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi University, and to identify whether there is a gap between intentions and HPV vaccination behavior. This study employed a descriptive quantitative cross-sectional method, with the subjects being 218 active female students from the 2025 cohort at the Faculty of Public Health, Sam Ratulangi University students. Data collection was conducted using a questionnaire distributed via Google Forms.The study results showed that perceived vulnerability (59.2%), perceived severity (94.5%), perceived benefits (99.1%), perceived barriers (88.1%), and perceived cues to act (69.7%)—all in the positive category, with HPV vaccination coverage at only 0.9% and an 82.6% gap between intentions and HPV vaccination behavior. Positive perceptions of vulnerability, severity, and benefits result in strong intentions, but perceptions of barriers dominate, leading to low actual behavior. ]]>
