<![CDATA[This study aims to examine the understanding and implementation of tawakkal (reliance on God) among the fishing community in Kuala Silo Bestari Village and to analyze it through a Hadith perspective. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach. Data were gathered through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving local fishermen as research informants. The findings indicate that the fishermen's understanding of tawakkal generally maintains a balance between faith in Allah SWT and the execution of ikhtiar (effort). Despite variations in interpretation, the majority of fishermen view hard work as an inseparable component of tawakkal. In practice, tawakkal is reflected in their seafaring activities, such as preparations before departure, resilience in facing uncertain maritime conditions, and a state of ridha (contentment) regarding their catch. From a Hadith perspective, these understandings and practices align with the Prophet’s teachings, which emphasize the equilibrium between effort and submission to God. Consequently, the tawakkal practices of these fishermen can be categorized as "reliance through effort," demonstrating the phenomenon of "Living Hadith" within the community’s daily life.]]>
