<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the importance of character building for the younger generation, the concept of self-potential, the relationship between self-potential and character building, strategies for developing self-potential to improve character, the role of the environment and education in character building, as well as challenges and solutions in strengthening the character of the younger generation. The research method used is descriptive research with library research. Research activities are carried out by collecting information and data with the help of various existing materials. The results of the study indicate that the younger generation is expected to be able to become individuals who are not only superior in the fields of science and technology, but also have a strong character and are based on Pancasila values. The development of self-potential has a strong positive correlation with character building, when an individual succeeds in recognizing and honing his potential, he will gain self-confidence, independence, responsibility and fighting spirit, these values are essential components of a strong character.
