PENERAPAN TEKNOLOGI BETON BERTULANG BAMBU RAMAH LINGKUNGAN UNTUK MENDUKUNG SISTEM IRIGASI DAN BUDIDAYA IKAN YANG BERKELANJUTAN

Abstract

Abstrak: Infrastruktur irigasi dan fasilitas budidaya ikan memiliki peran penting dalam mendukung produktivitas pertanian dan ketahanan pangan masyarakat pedesaan. Namun, keterbatasan kualitas infrastruktur serta tingginya biaya pemeliharaan akibat penggunaan material konvensional masih menjadi kendala utama. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hardskill dan softskill mitra dalam penerapan teknologi beton bertulang bambu sebagai alternatif konstruksi ramah lingkungan berbasis sumber daya lokal. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada wilayah pedesaan dengan melibatkan dua kelompok mitra yang terdiri dari pengelola irigasi dan kelompok budidaya ikan dengan total 30 peserta. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), demonstrasi, praktik lapangan, dan pendampingan teknis. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta angket pre-test dan post-test untuk mengukur tingkat pemahaman dan keterampilan peserta. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan bahwa peserta mengalami peningkatan kemampuan pada aspek pemahaman teknologi, pemilihan material, perakitan tulangan, pencampuran beton, dan penerapan di lapangan dengan rata-rata peningkatan keterampilan sebesar 52,6%. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa teknologi beton bertulang bambu efektif diterapkan sebagai solusi konstruksi sederhana yang ekonomis, ramah lingkungan, dan berkelanjutan.Abstrack: Irrigation infrastructure and fish farming facilities play a crucial role in supporting agricultural productivity and food security for rural communities. However, the limited quality of infrastructure and high maintenance costs resulting from the use of conventional materials remain major challenges. This community service initiative aims to enhance the hard and soft skills of our partners in applying bamboo-reinforced concrete technology as an environmentally friendly construction alternative based on local resources. The activity was conducted in a rural area, involving two partner groups consisting of irrigation managers and fish farming groups, with a total of 20 participants. The methods used included lectures, Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), demonstrations, field practice, and technical mentoring. Evaluation was conducted through observation, interviews, and pre-test and post-test questionnaires to measure participants’ levels of understanding and skills. The evaluation results showed that participants experienced an improvement in their abilities regarding technology understanding, material selection, reinforcement assembly, concrete mixing, and field application, with an average skill improvement of 52.6%. These results indicate that bamboo-reinforced concrete technology is effective as a simple, economical, environmentally friendly, and sustainable construction solution.
