This study is motivated by the low level of students’ critical thinking skills in Science and Social Studies (IPAS) learning due to the dominant use of conventional and less interactive learning media. This study aims to determine the effect of using digital book learning media on the critical thinking skills of fifth-grade students at SDN 2 Sukagalih. The research employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group type. The research subjects consisted of fifth-grade students divided into an experimental class and a control class, with data collected through an essay-based critical thinking skills test. The results showed that students who learned using digital book media had higher critical thinking skills compared to those who learned using conventional media. Statistical analysis indicated that the use of digital book learning media had a significant effect on students’ critical thinking skills. Therefore, digital books can be used as an effective and innovative learning medium in IPAS learning at the elementary school level.
