<![CDATA[This study analyzes the differences in news framing regarding the rewriting of Indonesian history in two national online media outlets, Kompas.com and AntaraNews.com, during the period of May to September 2025. Employing a qualitative approach within a constructivist paradigm, this research applies Robert Entman's framing analysis model, which encompasses four key elements: define problems, diagnose causes, make moral judgement, and treatment recommendation. Data were collected from 20 purposively selected news articles from both media outlets and analyzed in depth to identify patterns of meaning construction. The findings reveal that Kompas.com underwent a framing shift from informative to critical, emphasizing potential bias, the politicization of historical narratives, and the risk of obscuring human rights violations, while also presenting perspectives from academics and civil society as counterweights. In contrast, AntaraNews.com consistently framed the issue as a legitimate national agenda and state policy, positioning the government as the primary actor and portraying public controversy as a misunderstanding resolvable through institutional mechanisms. These differences affirm that media do not operate neutrally but actively construct social reality and shape public understanding of the relationship between history, power, and justice.]]>
