Pure sine wave (PSW) inverters based on two-stage SG3525 push-pull and EGS002 sinusoidal pulse width modulation (SPWM) topologies are commonly used in battery-sourced off-grid agricultural systems, but their load-resolved performance under LED growlight loading remains insufficiently characterized. This study aimed to design, fabricate, and experimentally evaluate a two-stage single-phase PSW inverter supplied by a 12 V lead-acid battery. The first stage used an SG3525-driven push-pull DC-DC converter operating at 35 kHz with an ETD42 ferrite-core transformer to generate a 380 V DC bus. The second stage used an EGS002 SPWM module driving an IRF460 H-bridge and LC output filter to produce a 220 V, 50 Hz AC output. Efficiency testing was performed at eleven nominal LED growlight load points from 0 W to 500 W. At each point, input-output electrical quantities, waveform parameters, and operating temperature were recorded after steady-state operation. The inverter reached a peak efficiency of 87.80% at the 300 W nominal LED rating, while the 250–300 W range maintained efficiency above 84%. Mean waveform amplitude error relative to the theoretical sinusoidal reference was 1.59%, voltage regulation was 2.52%, and output frequency remained stable at 50 Hz. Operating temperature increased from 27°C at no load to 34°C at the 500 W nominal LED rating. These results indicate that the inverter is suitable for LED-driver-based growlight loading within the characterized operating range and provides baseline data for future component-level thermal evaluation.
