This study aims to determine the correlation between leg muscle explosive power and flexibility on the crescent kick ability of Pencak Silat athletes at the Riau Province Special Sports School (SKO). The method used is quantitative with a correlational approach. The population was all 23 active Pencak Silat athletes at SKO Riau Province, and the total sampling technique was employed. The instruments included a vertical jump test for leg muscle explosive power, a split test for flexibility, and a crescent kick ability test. Data analysis used Pearson Product Moment and multiple correlation with SPSS. The results showed: (1) a significant correlation between leg muscle explosive power and crescent kick ability (r=0.729, p<0.05); (2) a significant correlation between flexibility and crescent kick ability (r=0.953, p<0.05); (3) a significant simultaneous correlation between leg muscle explosive power and flexibility on crescent kick ability (R=0.983, p<0.05), with an effective contribution (Adjusted R Square) of 96.2%. In conclusion, both leg muscle explosive power and flexibility are strongly and significantly correlated with the crescent kick ability, both partially and simultaneously. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating explosive power and flexibility training into the coaching program to optimize the technical performance of Pencak Silat athletes.
