Employee performance is an important factor in supporting the effectiveness of public organizations, particularly in government institutions responsible for regional planning, research, and development. Issues related to workload distribution, work discipline, and work motivation need to be examined because they may influence the optimization of employee performance. This study aims to analyze the effects of workload, work discipline, and work motivation on employee performance at the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency (BAPERLITBANG) of Karanganyar Regency, both individually and jointly. This study employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a saturated sampling technique involving 41 employees. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression with SPSS version 25. The results show that workload has no significant effect on employee performance, that work discipline has a significant effect, and that work motivation has no significant effect. Simultaneously, workload, work discipline, and work motivation have a significant effect on employee performance, with an R² value of 0.440. These findings indicate that strengthening work discipline is the main factor in optimizing employee performance, supported by appropriate workload management and continuous improvement of employee motivation.
