Abstract

Penelitian pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa sekolah dasar mengenai zakat dan infak sebagai instrumen keuangan Islam sekaligus menanamkan karakter kepedulian sejak usia dini. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 02 Palupuh dengan melibatkan 14 siswa kelas IV. Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat partisipatif dan edukatif melalui metode pembelajaran berbasis permainan, meliputi penayangan video, bercerita, kuis interaktif, serta pembuatan kotak infak. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu memahami perbedaan antara zakat dan infak serta menunjukkan antusiasme tinggi dalam melakukan infak secara sukarela. Guru melaporkan adanya perubahan positif pada sikap siswa terhadap kegiatan infak mingguan setelah program dilaksanakan. Pendekatan ini terbukti efektif menanamkan nilai-nilai Islam secara kontekstual sekaligus meningkatkan literasi keuangan sejak usia dini. Program ini diharapkan dapat direplikasi dan dijadikan program rutin dalam pembentukan karakter berbasis nilai ekonomi Islam. This community service study aims to enhance elementary school students’ understanding of zakat and infak as Islamic financial instruments while fostering caring character from an early age. The program was implemented at SD Negeri 02 Palupuh, involving 14 fourth-grade students. A participatory and educational approach was applied using play-based learning methods, including video presentations, storytelling, interactive quizzes, and the creation of donation boxes. The results indicate that students successfully understood the differences between zakat and infak and showed high enthusiasm in voluntarily practicing infak. Teachers observed positive changes in students’ attitudes toward weekly infak activities following the program. This approach effectively instills Islamic values contextually while enhancing financial literacy from an early age. The program is recommended for replication as a sustainable character-building initiative based on Islamic economic principles
