Students' mathematical comprehension ability is an important ability to be mastered well by students, the factor that influences the ability of mathematical comprehension is mathematical anxiety. Based on that, this study aims to determine the relationship between mathematical anxiety and mathematical comprehension ability. The research instrument is in the form of test and non-test questions. The test questions are in the form of a mathematical comprehension ability test consisting of 5 fill-in questions. The non-test questions are in the form of a mathematical anxiety questionnaire consisting of 14 points filled in by students who answer the mathematical comprehension questions. This study uses a quasi-experimental quantitative method with a Pretest-Posttest control-group design. Data analysis used by researchers, namely using correlation test analysis obtained from the results of the relationship between mathematical anxiety and the ability to understand mathematical concepts. This study was conducted on 14 5th grade students. The results showed that for the mathematical anxiety variable, a correlation value of 0.098 was obtained, greater than α = 0.05, so there was no relationship between the level of mathematical anxiety and the ability to understand mathematical concepts.
