<![CDATA[This article discusses the relevance of Imam al-Ghazali's thoughts in Tahafut al-Falasifah to the discourse on modern urban geography, environment, and sustainability. The problem addressed in this research stems from the reality that environmental crises, urban disasters, and spatial injustice cannot be solved solely through a technocratic approach, but require a solid epistemological and spiritual ethical foundation. The purpose of this research is to describe al-Ghazali's epistemology, explain his critique of natural determinism, and interpret his contribution to strengthening ecological ethics and moral spatial governance. This research employs a conceptual study method based on library research, utilising a review of the classical text Tahafut al-Falasifah, Islamic philosophy literature, critical geography, and contemporary urban studies. The analysis was conducted using a hermeneutic-philosophical approach to produce a conceptual synthesis relevant to the modern context. The research findings indicate that al-Ghazali's critique of determinism opens the door for rejecting environmental determinism while simultaneously affirming human moral responsibility in space management. His thinking reunites the spiritual and material dimensions in urban life and offers a basis for ecological ethics rooted in monotheism. The conclusion of the research states that al-Ghazali's thinking provides a significant philosophical framework for the development of just, sustainable, and spiritually grounded cities.]]>
