Analisis Morfosemantik dan Fungsi Register dalam Video Ulasan Mainan Kamen Rider: Kajian Sosiolinguistik

Language variations are being affected by various factors. One of the factors is the field of use (Chaer & Agustina, 2004). Register is an example of language variations that are affected by the field of use. In the Kamen Rider fandom, particularly in fan activities related to Kamen Rider toys, reviewers use specific words or terms when discussing or talking about toy products. This paper is a qualitative descriptive research on the sociolinguistic study that aims to explain the word formation, the word meaning, and the function of registers used in Kamen Rider-themed toy review videos. The data were taken from four review videos from a YouTube channel named Reon Channeru. This research found that the registers used in the video consist only of nouns, the meanings can be classified into eight groups, and the registers has several functions, which are conveying information, explaining the toy features, shortening speech, distinguishing from other groups, and constructing Kamen Rider fan identity.
