The development of social media, particularly Instagram, has given rise to new language variations widely used in digital communication, one of which is slang. Influencers, as public figures on social media, play an important role in shaping and disseminating the use of slang to their audiences. This study aims to describe the forms, functions, and contexts of slang usage in the Instagram content of influencer @aziz_syaputra based on a sociolinguistic perspective. The research employs a qualitative descriptive method with a sociolinguistic approach. The data source consists of spoken utterances in video content from the Instagram account @aziz_syaputra that contain slang expressions. Data collection techniques include observation, transcription, screenshots, and note-taking. Data analysis was conducted through stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the slang used includes expressive swear words, informal forms of address, evaluative expressions, and connotative vocabulary derived from regional languages. The use of slang functions as a means of emotional expression, a tool for building intimacy and social solidarity, and a communication strategy to create an authentic impression and increase audience engagement. Thus, slang in the content of @aziz_syaputra not only serves as an informal communication tool but also represents social identity and the realities of young people’s lives in digital media.
