Digital literacy is important to support students' writing skills in the era of technological development, especially in learning descriptive text. This study aims to analyze the application and evaluation of digital literacy in improving the descriptive text writing skills of grade X students of SMK Negeri 1 Surakarta. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through pretests, socialization, posttests, observations, interviews, and documentation. The pretest and posttest were not calculated statistically, but only analyzed descriptively. The research subjects consisted of 35 students and 1 Indonesian language teacher. The results showed that the application of digital literacy through media such as PowerPoint, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and educational games was able to improve students' writing skills. Improvements were seen in aspects of text structure, choice of diction, coherence, and completeness of content. In addition, students also showed an increase in learning independence and motivation during learning. However, there were several obstacles, such as limited internet access and supporting facilities. Overall, the application of digital literacy has proven effective in improving students' descriptive text writing skills, although it still requires adequate infrastructure support to run optimally.
