EDUKASI ANTI BULLYING SEBAGAI STRATEGI DALAM MENINGKATKAN EMPATI UNTUK MENCIPTAKAN RUANG BELAJAR AMAN DI SMKN 3 JAYAPURA

Abstract

ABSTRAKPerundungan atau bullying merupakan masalah serius yang banyak terjadi di lingkungan pendidikan. Hal ini tentu menarik perhatian banyak pihak dan membutuhkan penanganan yang serius. Kenyataannya, banyak dari pelaku perundungan itu merupakan murid sekolah yang berada dalam usia labil. Akibatnya, banyak dari mereka terjerumus ke dalam perilaku menyimpang selama proses pencarian jati diri. Minimnya pemahaman murid sekolah terkait bullying membuat mereka tidak menyadari bahwa kebiasaan mengejek pun merupakan bentuk perundungan. Melalui adanya perjanjian kerja sama Universitas Cenderawasih dengan SMKN 3 Jayapura untuk terus memberikan kontribusi dalam peningkatan kapasitas diri siswa/siswi, tim pengabdi kemudian melaksanakan kegiatan edukasi bersama 25 orang murid dengan tujuan menambah pengetahuan dan mendorong kesadaran murid SMKN 3 Jayapura untuk agar terjerumus menjadi bagian dari kelompok perundung di lingkungan sekolah. Metode sosialisasi partisipatif dilakukan demi mendorong keterbukaan para peserta dalam diskusi dan berbagi pengalaman terkait bullying. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan dalam tiga tahapan, yaitu: persiapan, pelaksanaan dan evaluasi. Melalui kegiatan ini, tim pengabdi memberikan pemahaman mengenai perilaku bullying, bentuk perundungan di lingkungan sekolah, dan hal apa saja yang bisa dilakukan ketika menjumpai situasi perundungan. Hasil dari kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa siswa/siswi sadar akan pentingnya meningkatkan kesadaran diri agar tidak terjerumus ke dalam perilaku menyimpang ini. Selain itu, peserta berkomitmen untuk menjadi pengawas yang siap melaporkan jika melihat perundungan di lingkungan sekolah.Kata kunci: Bullying; Kesadaran; Pencegahan. ABSTRACTBullying is a serious problem that occurs frequently in educational settings. This issue naturally draws the attention of many parties and requires serious attention. In reality, many of the perpetrators of bullying are students going through a period of emotional instability. As a result, many of them fall into deviant behavior while searching for their identity. Students’ limited understanding of bullying prevents them from realizing that the habit of teasing is also a form of bullying. Through a cooperation agreement between Cenderawasih University and SMKN 3 Jayapura to continue contributing to the personal development of students, the community service team conducted an educational activity with 25 students. The goal was to increase their knowledge and raise awareness among SMKN 3 Jayapura students to prevent them from becoming part of a bullying group within the school environment. A participatory outreach method was employed to encourage participants to be open during discussions and to share their experiences related to bullying. This activity was carried out in three stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Through this activity, the community service team provided an understanding of bullying behavior, forms of bullying in the school environment, and steps to take when encountering a bullying situation. The results of the activity showed that students recognized the importance of increasing their self-awareness to avoid falling into this deviant behavior. In addition, participants are committed to acting as monitors who are ready to report any instances of bullying they witness in the school environment.Keywords: Bullying; Awareness; Prevention.
