<![CDATA[The objectives of this ethnographic study on the tradition of balagh kitab Mukhtar al Ahadits and its role in fostering the value of mahabah (love) among students at the Sirojuth Tholibin Brabo Islamic Boarding School are (1) to analyze the process of the balagh kitab tradition in shaping and fostering the value of mahabah, and (2) to identify supporting and inhibiting factors as well as solutions for the sustainability of this tradition as a culture that fosters the value of mahabah. The method used is ethnography, with data collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies in the pesantren environment. The results of the study show that the tradition of balagh kitab, which is carried out routinely and communally, is not only a transfer of knowledge, but also a process of internalizing the value of mahabah through the example set by the kyai, social interaction among santri, and understanding the meaning of hadith. Balagh kitab serves as a medium for transmitting values that bind santri to a love of knowledge, teachers, and fellow students. Supporting factors include the commitment of kyai and the pesantren curriculum, while inhibiting factors are related to the adaptation of new santri and the challenges of the times. The solutions offered involve integrating mahabah values into other non-formal activities.]]>
