This study aimed to describe the mental health condition of adolescents at SMA Negeri 2 Jeneponto based on gender differences. The study employed a quantitative approach with a descriptive research design. The sample consisted of 89 eleventh-grade students selected using a simple random sampling technique. Data were collected using the Mental Health Inventory (MHI-38) scale adapted into Indonesian by A. C. Parombean and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results showed that the mental health condition of both female and male students was generally in the moderate category. Among female students, 90.9% were in the moderate category, 6.8% in the high category, and 2.3% in the low category. Meanwhile, among male students, 80.0% were in the moderate category, 15.6% in the high category, and 4.4% in the low category. The findings indicate that most students had mental health conditions in the moderate category; however, they still require preventive support and developmental assistance through guidance and counseling services.
