Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of sales growth and liquidity on profitability, measured using Return On Assets (ROA), in Food and Beverage (F&B) sector corporations listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2021–2024 period. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique, with a population of 40 corporations and a sample of 10 corporations. Data were collected through a documentation method using annual financial reports of corporations listed on the IDX and were processed using regression analysis with SPSS. The results show that sales growth and liquidity have a positive and significant effect on profitability. Simultaneously, sales growth and liquidity also have a significant effect on profitability. Profitability can be explained by sales growth and liquidity by 80.9%, while the remaining 19.1% is influenced by other factors outside this study. These findings provide empirical contribution that improving the profitability of F&B companies is not only determined by sales growth but also requires effective liquidity management to ensure stable operational activities and productive use of current assets.
