The Qur'an contains numerous verses that encourage humanity to observe the universe as a manifestation of Allah's power. The study of these cosmic verses not only strengthens theological understanding but also establishes a meaningful dialogue between revelation and science, particularly astrophysics. This study aims to examine Qur'anic verses concerning the creation of the universe and the sun from an astrophysical perspective. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research. Data were collected from the Qur'an, classical and contemporary Qur'anic exegesis, and scholarly works on astrophysics, astronomy, and Islamic science. The data were analyzed descriptively to explore the relationship between Qur'anic descriptions of the cosmos and contemporary scientific understanding. The findings indicate that the Qur'an presents a coherent depiction of the creation of the universe, while portraying the sun as a source of light, energy, and a reference for measuring time. These phenomena are described as signs (āyāt) of Allah's greatness and wisdom. Classical and contemporary exegetical interpretations demonstrate that these Qur'anic descriptions possess theological significance while remaining compatible with scientific explanations concerning the structure and functions of celestial bodies. Therefore, the study concludes that the Qur'anic perspective on astrophysics reflects a harmonious relationship between revelation and scientific inquiry, contributing to both spiritual awareness and the development of scientific knowledge
