Abstract

Hasil studi menunjukkan adanya penurunan tanda dan gejala perilaku kekerasan pada seluruh partisipan dengan rata-rata penurunan skor sebesar 4,3 yang menunjukan bahwa terapi musik klasik dan aromaterapi lavender efektif sebagai terapi komplementer dalam menurunkan tanda dan gejala perilaku kekerasan pada pasien risiko perilaku kekerasan AbstractViolent behavior is one of the mental health nursing problems that poses a risk of harm to oneself, others, and the environment if not managed appropriately. Non-pharmacological approaches are required as adjunctive therapies to help reduce symptoms of violent behavior. This case study aimed to determine the effectiveness of classical music therapy combined with lavender aromatherapy in reducing the signs and symptoms of violent behavior in patients at risk of violent behavior. The method used was a descriptive case study with a pre–post test design. The subjects consisted of three patients with a risk of violent behavior treated at Dr. Amino Gondhohutomo Mental Hospital, Semarang. The intervention included classical music therapy for 30 minutes and inhalation of lavender aromatherapy for 10 minutes, administered once daily for three consecutive days. The results of the study demonstrated a reduction in the signs and symptoms of violent behavior among all participants, with an average decrease in score of 4.3. These findings indicate that classical music therapy combined with lavender aromatherapy is effective as a complementary therapy in reducing the signs and symptoms of violent behavior in patients at risk of violent behavior.
