Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) remains a major public health concern in Indonesia, particularly in tropical regions where the incidence continues to rise. Preventive efforts are essential due to the absence of specific therapy for this disease. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge of DHF prevention and introduce the use of natural ingredients as an alternative mosquito repellent. The activity was conducted at SMPN 17 Muaro Jambi and involved 21 students through health education using PowerPoint presentations, interactive discussions, and practical training on the preparation of lemongrass-based mosquito repellent spray. The results demonstrated high enthusiasm and active participation among the students throughout the educational and training sessions. Participants engaged in discussions regarding DHF transmission, symptoms, and prevention through the 3M Plus strategy, while also taking part in the hands-on preparation of lemongrass-based mosquito repellent spray. This activity provided valuable knowledge on DHF prevention and the utilization of natural ingredients as an alternative mosquito repellent. Furthermore, the students successfully produced 25 bottles of spray, demonstrating the practical application of natural resources as a preventive measure against DHF. It is expected that this activity will increase awareness and encourage greater independence in maintaining health both at school and at home.
