<![CDATA[This study aims to determine the effect of the Learning Cycle learning model on poetry writing skills. This research is quantitative research using an experimental method with a Two Group Posttest research design. The population of this study consisted of 315 tenth-grade students of SMA Negeri 2 Medan. The sampling technique used was random sampling, with class X-2 as the control class and class X-3 as the experimental class. Data were collected through observation, documentation, interviews, and tests. The data analysis techniques included normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing. Based on the normality test results, the data from both the control and experimental classes were normally distributed. The homogeneity test proved that the research samples were homogeneous. Furthermore, the hypothesis test results showed that t-count t-table, which was 2.06 1.66, indicating that the null hypothesis (H?) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (H?) was accepted. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of using the Learning Cycle learning model on the poetry writing skills of tenth-grade students at SMA Negeri 2 Medan. ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Learning Cycle terhadap kemampuan menulis puisi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif, metode eksperimen dengan menggunakan desain penelitian Two Group Posttest. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Medan berjumlah 315 siswa. Pada penelitian ini teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara random sampling dengan sampel yaitu kelas X-2 sebagai kelas kontrol dan kelas X-3 sebagai kelas eksperimen. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, dokumentasi, wawancara dan tes. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Berdasarkan hasil uji normalitas kelas kontrol dan ekperimen diperoleh data berdistribusi normal. Uji homogenitas membuktikan bahwa sampel penelitian bersifat homogen. Serta hasil uji hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa thitung ttabel, yaitu 2,06 1,66 sehingga (Ho) ditolak dan (H?) diterima. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh signifikan dari penggunaan model pembelajaran Learning Cycle terhadap kemampuan menulis teks laporan hasil observasi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 2 Medan.]]>
