This study aims to develop a digital comic learning media to improve students’ understanding in Islamic Religious Education. The background of this research is the lack of engaging and interactive learning media that can attract students’ interest, especially at the elementary school level. This study uses Research and Development (R&D) method with stages including needs analysis, product design, development, and evaluation. The product developed is a digital comic presented in flipbook format, containing Islamic values delivered through simple narratives and attractive illustrations. The results show that the digital comic media is feasible to use and can increase students’ motivation and understanding of the material. Students become more interested in learning and can more easily grasp the concepts presented through visual storytelling. Therefore, digital comics can be an effective alternative learning media in Islamic Religious Education.
