<![CDATA[ABSTRACT The availability of basic service infrastructure is essential for promoting equitable regional development and improving community welfare. However, previous studies on infrastructure in Central Maluku Regency have primarily focused on individual sectors and have not provided a comprehensive assessment through a basic service infrastructure index that can support evidence-based policymaking. Therefore, this study is important to provide an integrated evaluation of infrastructure performance and identify development priorities. This study aims to identify the availability of basic service infrastructure and analyze the infrastructure index of Central Maluku Regency in 2024. A descriptive quantitative approach was employed using secondary data collected from relevant government agencies and analyzed through a composite index. The findings reveal that the education sector achieved the highest infrastructure index and was classified as good, followed by the health sector in the moderate category. In contrast, land transportation and, particularly, clean water infrastructure recorded the lowest performance, significantly reducing the overall infrastructure achievement. Consequently, the composite infrastructure index of Central Maluku Regency falls into the poor category. These findings highlight the need to prioritize investment in clean water infrastructure, road improvement, and equitable health service provision to support sustainable regional development. ABSTRAK Ketersediaan infrastruktur pelayanan dasar merupakan prasyarat penting bagi pemerataan pembangunan dan peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Namun, penelitian mengenai infrastruktur di Kabupaten Maluku Tengah masih didominasi kajian sektoral dan belum menyediakan penilaian komprehensif melalui indeks infrastruktur pelayanan dasar yang dapat digunakan sebagai dasar evaluasi kebijakan. Penelitian ini penting untuk memberikan gambaran menyeluruh mengenai kondisi infrastruktur sebagai bahan perumusan prioritas pembangunan daerah. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi ketersediaan infrastruktur pelayanan dasar serta menganalisis indeks infrastruktur di Kabupaten Maluku Tengah Tahun 2024. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif deskriptif dengan data sekunder yang diperoleh dari instansi terkait dan dianalisis menggunakan indeks komposit. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sektor pendidikan memiliki capaian indeks tertinggi dengan kategori baik, diikuti sektor kesehatan pada kategori sedang. Sebaliknya, sektor transportasi darat dan terutama sektor air bersih masih menunjukkan kondisi yang rendah sehingga menjadi faktor utama penurunan kinerja infrastruktur daerah. Secara komposit, indeks infrastruktur Kabupaten Maluku Tengah berada pada kategori tidak baik. Temuan ini menunjukkan perlunya kebijakan pembangunan yang lebih terarah dengan memprioritaskan peningkatan infrastruktur air bersih, transportasi, dan pemerataan layanan kesehatan untuk mendukung pembangunan wilayah yang berkelanjutan.]]>
