ANALISIS MODIFIKASI TIANG PANCANG TERHADAP GAYA ANGKAT AKIBAT MUKA AIR TANAH

Abstract

Abstract— Fluctuations in the groundwater table not only generate hydrostatic uplift forces on the foundation slab but also alter the consolidation characteristics of the underlying clay (A. Rifai and T. S. Kurniadi, 2023). This study on a hotel construction project aims to analyze the performance of pile foundations subjected to uplift forces due to a rise in the groundwater level of up to 2.5 meters. The analysis examines axial bearing capacity using the method by Nakazawa, K. (1983), as well as deformations specifically axial settlement and lateral deflection using the finite element method. The analysis yielded an ultimate bearing capacity of 406.9 kN. Regarding deformation, initial uplift of 42 millimeters occurred in some foundation areas, followed by an additional 2.5-meter uplift. This issue confirms that uplift forces caused by groundwater exert a significant impact that can weaken foundation capacity and increase the risk of deformation. This condition is considered hazardous to structural stability if not addressed promptly. As a mitigation measure, this study recommends optimization efforts through changes in the dimensions of structural components. The proposed solution is to increase the pile diameter from 0.6 meters to 1 meter, to ensure that the overall foundation performance remains within safe limits and meets technical requirements. Keywords — Bearing Capacity, Foundation, Uplift Force Abstrak— Fluktuasi muka air tanah tidak hanya memicu gaya angkat hidrostatik pada pelat fondasi, tetapi juga mengubah karakteristik konsolidasi tanah lempung di bawahnya (A. Rifai and T. S. Kurniadi, 2023). Penelitian mengenai proyek pembngunan hotel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kinerja fondasi tiang pancang yang menglami kenaikan akibat muka air tanah dengan ketinggian maksimal sepanjang 2.5 meter. Analisis ini dilakukan terhadap kapasitas daya dukung aksial dengan menggunakan metode Nakazawa, K. (1983), deformasi berupa penurunan aksial dan defleksi lateral menggunakan finite element method. Pada analisis, diperoleh kapasitas daya dukung ultimit sebesar 406.9 kN. Dari sisi deformasi, pada beberapa area fondasi mengalami kenaikan awal sepanjang 42 meter, lalu mengalami kenaikan setinggi 2.5 meter. Dari permasalahan tersebut mengonfirmasi bahwa gaya angkat akibat air tanah memberikan dampak signifikan yang dapat memperlemah kapasitas serta meningkatkan risiko deformasi pada fondasi. Kondisi ini dinilai membahayakan stabilitas struktur jika tidak segera ditangani. Sebagai langkah mitigasi, penelitian ini merekomendasikan upaya optimasi melalui perubahan dimensi komponen struktur. Solusi yang diusulkan adalah memperbesar diameter tiang pancang dari ukuran semula 0,6 meter menjadi 1 meter, guna memastikan seluruh kinerja fondasi tetap berada dalam batas aman dan memenuhi persyaratan teknis.
