Abstract— This study aims to evaluate the traffic performance of KHZ Mustofa Road in Tasikmalaya City following sidewalk improvement and widening, and to examine its implications for pedestrian space quality in a commercial corridor with high roadside activity. A quantitative descriptive method was applied based on the Indonesian Highway Capacity Manual (PKJI) 2023, using primary data including traffic volume, vehicle speed, side friction, and road geometric conditions. The results show that peak traffic volumes reached 1141.4 pcu/hour (Sunday) and 986.8 pcu/hour (Thursday), with a road capacity of 2805 pcu/hour. The degree of saturation values of 0.41 and 0.35 indicate stable flow conditions with Level of Service C and B-C, and a free-flow speed of approximately 42 km/h. Sidewalk improvement does not significantly reduce traffic performance, while side friction is identified as the dominant influencing factor. On the other hand, pedestrian space quality improves in terms of comfort and safety. These findings confirm that walkability and complete streets principles can be implemented without compromising traffic performance. Keywords — Road Performanc; Sidewalk; PKJI 202; Side Friction; Walkability Abstrak— Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kinerja lalu lintas ruas Jalan KHZ Mustofa, Kota Tasikmalaya pasca penataan dan pelebaran trotoar serta implikasinya terhadap kualitas ruang pejalan kaki pada koridor komersial dengan aktivitas samping tinggi. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif berbasis Pedoman Kapasitas Jalan Indonesia (PKJI) 2023 dengan data primer berupa volume lalu lintas, kecepatan, hambatan samping, dan kondisi geometrik jalan. Hasil menunjukkan volume puncak sebesar 1141,4 smp/jam (Minggu) dan 986,8 smp/jam (Kamis) dengan kapasitas 2805 smp/jam. Nilai derajat kejenuhan 0,41 dan 0,35 menunjukkan kondisi arus stabil dengan tingkat pelayanan C dan B-C serta kecepatan arus bebas ±42 km/jam. Penataan trotoar tidak menurunkan kinerja lalu lintas secara signifikan, sedangkan hambatan samping menjadi faktor dominan. Di sisi lain, kualitas ruang pejalan kaki meningkat dari aspek kenyamanan dan keamanan. Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa walkability dan complete streets dapat diterapkan tanpa mengorbankan kinerja lalu lintas. Kata kunci — Kinerja Jalan; Trotoar, PKJI 2023; Hambatan Samping; Walkability
