<![CDATA[The phenomenon of mother blaming has become increasingly prominent in contemporary child-rearing dynamics, particularly among working mothers who are required to balance dual responsibilities in both domestic and public spheres. This phenomenon reflects a social construction that positions mothers as the primary individuals accountable for both the success and failure of child upbringing. This study aims to analyze the forms and social construction of mother blaming in the context of child-rearing among working mothers and to examine its implications from the perspective of Islamic education. This study employs a qualitative approach through a conceptual literature review by analyzing scholarly publications, journal articles, and relevant social phenomena. The findings reveal that mother blaming is a product of deeply rooted gender bias embedded within societal culture, reinforcing the double burden borne by working mothers and contributing to psychological distress as well as influencing child-rearing practices. From the perspective of Islamic education, responsibility for child upbringing should not rest solely on mothers; rather, it constitutes a collective trust (amanah) shared by fathers, families, and the wider community. Therefore, there is a pressing need to reconstruct a more equitable and collaborative understanding of child-rearing grounded in Islamic values in order to foster a holistic and just educational environment for children. This article contributes to the existing literature by proposing a conceptual reconstruction of child-rearing based on the values of Islamic education as a more equitable, collaborative, and family-oriented paradigm that promotes the common good (maslahah) in responding to the phenomenon of mother blaming.]]>
