<![CDATA[This article aims to analyze the role of the congregational pastor as an educator in the spiritual growth of the congregation, by placing the pastoral task explicitly within the framework of Christian education and the spiritual formation of the congregation. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method through a literature study of articles in the journal of Christian theology and Religious Education published in 2020–2024, as well as normative theological reflection on relevant biblical texts. The results of the study show that the role of the shepherd as an educator is manifested in at least three main dimensions: (1) the shepherd as a teacher of the Word who shapes the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of the faith of the congregation; (2) pastors as designers and managers of the spiritual formation process through various programs and strategies of congregational education; and (3) the pastor as a spiritual guide and example who accompanies the church in the process of personal and communal faith maturation. This article proposes a conceptual framework of the role of the pastor as an educator that can serve as a reference for churches and theological educational institutions in preparing pastors of the congregation who are able to facilitate the spiritual growth of the congregation in a sustainable manner. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisis peran gembala sidang sebagai pendidik dalam pertumbuhan rohani jemaat, dengan menempatkan tugas penggembalaan secara eksplisit dalam kerangka pendidikan Kristen dan formasi rohani jemaat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif melalui studi pustaka terhadap artikel-artikel jurnal teologi dan pendidikan agama Kristen terbitan 2020–2024, serta refleksi teologis normatif atas teks-teks Alkitab yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa peran gembala sebagai pendidik terwujud sedikitnya dalam tiga dimensi utama: (1) gembala sebagai pengajar Firman yang membentuk pengetahuan, sikap, dan praktik iman jemaat; (2) gembala sebagai perancang dan pengelola proses pembinaan rohani melalui berbagai program dan strategi pendidikan jemaat; dan (3) gembala sebagai pembimbing dan teladan rohani yang menyertai jemaat dalam proses pendewasaan iman secara personal dan komunal. Artikel ini mengusulkan suatu kerangka konseptual peran gembala sebagai pendidik yang dapat menjadi acuan bagi gereja dan lembaga pendidikan teologi dalam mempersiapkan gembala-gembala jemaat yang mampu memfasilitasi pertumbuhan rohani jemaat secara berkelanjutan.]]>
