PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN SCRAMBLE TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR ILMU PENGETAHUAN SOSIAL SISWA DI MADRASAH TSANAWIYAH MUHAMMADIYAH 02 PEKANBARU

ABSTRACT This study aims to analyze the effect of the scramble learning model on students’ Social Science (IPS) learning outcomes on the topic of Social Institutions at Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru. This research was motivated by students’ low learning outcomes in Social Science, which had not yet reached the Minimum Learning Achievement Criteria (KKTP), as well as students’ limited understanding of the learning materials delivered during the learning process. This study employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research sample consisted of 80 students divided into an experimental class (VIII-2) and a control class (VIII-1), with each class consisting of 40 students. Data were collected through tests and documentation, then analyzed using the Independent Samples t-Test. The results showed that there was a significant difference in students’ learning outcomes between the experimental and control classes. This was evidenced by the hypothesis test results, which obtained a t-count value of 4.993 with a significance value (Sig. 2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. The average posttest score of the experimental class was 82.05, while the control class obtained an average score of 72.72. Therefore, the scramble learning model has a significant effect on improving students’ Social Science learning outcomes and can be used as an alternative learning strategy to create a more active, collaborative, and enjoyable learning process. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh model pembelajaran scramble terhadap hasil belajar Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial (IPS) siswa pada materi Lembaga Sosial di Madrasah Tsanawiyah Muhammadiyah 02 Pekanbaru. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya hasil belajar IPS siswa yang belum mencapai Kriteria Ketercapaian Tujuan Pembelajaran (KKTP) serta rendahnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi yang disampaikan dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode quasi experiment dan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 80 siswa yang terdiri atas kelas VIII-2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII-1 sebagai kelas kontrol, dengan masing-masing kelas berjumlah 40 siswa. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui tes dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji Independent Samples t-Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Hal tersebut dibuktikan melalui hasil uji hipotesis yang memperoleh nilai t hitung sebesar 4,993 dengan nilai signifikansi (Sig. 2-tailed) sebesar 0,000 < 0,05. Selain itu, nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen sebesar 82,05 lebih tinggi dibandingkan kelas kontrol sebesar 72,72. Dengan demikian, model pembelajaran scramble berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar IPS siswa dan dapat menjadi alternatif strategi pembelajaran yang mampu menciptakan proses pembelajaran yang lebih aktif, kolaboratif, dan menyenangkan.
