This research aims to deconstruct the epistemological nature of the local sacred myth and the structure of the musicality of the title in order to unravel how the subaltern narrative is an instrument of resistance and negotiation of the identity of the Gayo culture. The method used is a cultural study approach based on the paradigm of critical discourse analysis of Derrida's deconstruction. The analysis shows that the myth of awesomeness in the lake is not just passive mysticism, but a cultural strategy and counter-discourse that preserves trauma as well as a memory of resistance to outside hegemony. Epistemologically, the musicality of the title enank-enang acts as a living audio archive that transcends the boundaries of formal literacy, transmits historical knowledge, and affirms the sovereignty of Gayo's subject's thinking.
