<![CDATA[Dengan menggunakan a literature review approach, this study aims to investigate the use of picture media in elementary school writing instruction. Writing is one of the crucial language skills that students must master from a young age; namun, banyak siswa elementary school masih menghadapi kesulitan untuk mulai menulis. Oleh karena itu, there is a need for learning media that can help students understand the material concretely and appealingly. A qualitative methodology, along with a literature review design, was used in this study. Data was gathered from a variety of scientific articles and related journals that have been published within the last ten years regarding the use of picture media in beginning writing instruction. Content analysis of chosen sources based on their applicability and calibre of study was used to analyse the data. The study's findings show that using visual media helps elementary school pupils, particularly those in lower grades, improve their writing abilities. Students' motivation to learn can be boosted by picture media, which can also help them communicate their ideas and thoughts, expand their vocabulary, and write words, phrases, and simple sentences more easily. Additionally, using visual media makes learning more engaging, dynamic, and significant. Consequently, image media might be utilised as a successful substitute teaching method to help primary school pupils develop their beginning writing abilities.]]>
