This study aims to examine the implementation of the Happy Literacy Program in elementary school learning and analyze its impact on strengthening students’ literacy skills. The research was conducted at SDN 24 Cakranegara using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the Happy Literacy Program was implemented through several stages, namely ice breaking activities, independent reading and read aloud activities, literacy games, storytelling activities, as well as reflection and reward sessions. The program had a positive impact on improving reading skills, reading comprehension, reading interest, and students’ self-confidence. However, several obstacles were still found, such as differences in students’ literacy abilities, low self-confidence, limited learning media, and limited implementation time. Therefore, improvement efforts are needed through differentiated learning, the development of learning media, effective time management, and stronger collaboration with parents. Thus, the Happy Literacy Program can become an effective learning innovation in strengthening elementary school students’ literacy skills.
