Balinese folktale (satua) as a form of local wisdom-based oral literature has a significant role in Balinese language learning, especially for elementary school students. This study aims to examine the utilization of satua ‘Men Tiwas teken Men Sugih’ as a media for Balinese language learning based on local wisdom. The method used is qualitative descriptive through a literature study approach. The results of the study show that satua ‘Men Tiwas teken Men Sugih’ contains intrinsic elements and moral values relevant to Balinese language learning, including honesty, hard work, and social concern.
